André Henriques is a portuguese baritone.

A versatile performer, he is at ease in both Opera and Concert repertoire.

In the Operatic repertoire, he stood out out for his appearances as Captain Valentine (Johnny Johnson, Kurt Weill), Don Parmenione (L’Occasione fa il Ladro, Rossini), Don Alvaro (Il Viaggio a Reims, Rossini), Officer (The Penal Colony, Philip Glass)or Guglielmo (Così Fan Tutte, W. A. Mozart).

He has performed in venues such as the Teatro Nacional de São Carlos, the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation, the Centro Cultural de Belém, the Teatro São Luiz or the Coliseu do Porto, in Portugal, the Cadogan Hall and the St. David’s Hall in the United Kingdom, and the Cuenca’s Auditorium in Spain.

André Henriques did his Education in Lisbon, at Escola de Música do Conservatório de Lisboa, under António Wagner Diniz. After that, as a Calouste Gulbenkian’ scholar, he went on to study Opera Performance at the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama, with Donald Maxwell.

Currently based in Lisbon, he is a sought after performer in Portugal, while also maintaining relations abroad.

With Opera Rama, under Carlo Rizzi, he recorded the roles of Lucio and Fulvio in Gaettano Donizetti’s L’Esule di Roma.
